Holiday House has been an integral part of Friends and Neighbors of Every Woman's House since 1988. The first event, organized by a committee of three women, was intended to be a tea party in a dining room large enough to decorate and use as a fundraiser. A friend of a committee member just happened to purchase the Overholt House on Beall Avenue, in Wooster, while the committee was searching for the perfect dining room and offered the entire house instead. Area merchants responded immediately to the concept and the Holiday House tradition was born. After a few years the event had grown to such proportions that one of the original three organizers decided more help was needed and asked friends if they would be willing to join her in forming a fundraising support group for Every Woman's House. As a result, Friends and Neighbors was firmly established.
The event is held every other year. This year, the spotlight will be on a unique mid-century modern home at 1117 Forest Drive in Wooster known as the Regenhardt-Burnard House. Your participation will help the Friends and Neighbors of Every Woman's House continue to provide funding that helps to assist victims of domestic violence and educate our community to end the cycle of abuse. Details are as follows:

As the event approaches, finding people to help with selling tickets, collecting tickets at the door, picking up food donations or managing traffic is always a challenge.
